ECO-INNOVERA presented at the Textile Flagships for Europe

The workshop was part of the ‘Textile Flagships for Europe’ initiative n°1 dealing with research and innovation in sustainable textile raw materials. This initiative brings together industry & technology/research experts from across Europe to exchange on innovative approaches for a more sustainable raw material (i.e. fibre) supply for Europe’s textile industry and to initiate some joint projects. We tackle 3 broad areas:

Expansion of use of alternative natural fibres from European sources
Bio-polymer-based fibre alternatives
Fibre supply from high-tech recycling from production and post-consumer waste

The Textile Flagships for Europe initiative is coordinated by the Europe Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing www.textile-platform.eu and supported by the European textile and clothing industry federation EURATEX www.euratex.eu Find the presentation here

International survey on eco-innovation parks

The workshop took place on the 20th and 21st of September 2012 in Bern, Switzerland. Within the framework of the ERA-Net ECO-INNOVERA (European Research Area Network on Eco-innovation), the FOEN initiated an international survey on eco-innovation parks.
